SWEET 16 CAKE 
Black and White Two-Tier with Handmade Bow
  You can switch up the colors!



1. Cover the cake board and add ribbon


2. Begin the ribbon pieces but allow at least four days to dry - and make extras!


3. Using royal icing as "glue," put together ribbon pieces to make bow for top of cake


4. Cover bottom tier and add any trim. "Quilt" sides of cake and add pearls. I indent where the pearls are going to go, then add a dot of royal with a #2 tip, then add the pearls with a tweezer


5. Add top tier and secure with sharpened dowel, driving it all the way into the cake drum


 6. Start to add trim and finishes
